Sheldon Offers Diverse Exhibitions
For more than 40 years, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Sheldon Museum of Art has provided a space for students, faculty and staff, alumni, the Lincoln community and visitors to experience one of the greatest collections of American art in the world. Even with an outstanding permanent collection, it is our philosophy to ensure that this collection is continuously diversified and expanded.
To represent many facets of the American art world, Sheldon Museum of Art offers as many as 12 exhibitions each year.
Educational programs such as symposia, lectures, children’s workshops and tours are organized in conjunction with each show.

Better Half, Better Twelfth: Women Artists in the Collection April 02, 2010 thru April 01, 2011 This exhibition showcases American women artists from the Sheldon Museum of Art's Permanent Collection. The intent of the exhibition is to better acquaint Sheldon visitors with these artists and to recognize their accomplishments. |
