“Visionary Art on the Prairie” Symposium

In connection with the exhibition Parallel Starts: Outsider Art Inside Collections, and in collaboration with the Mental Health Center of Lancaster County, Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department and CenterPointe, Inc., Sheldon is cosponsoring a symposium, “Visionary Art on the Prairie.”
The symposium will feature Cleo Wilson, Executive Director of Chicago’s Intuit Center for Intuitive and Outsider Arts as keynote speaker on Friday, August 6, 5:30 p.m. in Sheldon’s Ethel S. Abbott Auditorium. Wilson is a nationally recognized expert on outsider art.
The symposium will continue with panel presentations by regional outsider artist, collectors and experts in the field on Saturday morning, August 7, 9-11 a.m.
The symposium is free of charge and will include refreshments.
