University Chamber Singers Host Nebraska High School Festival Singers

The University Chamber Singers will host the Fourth Annual "Singing Small" Festival for Nebraska High School vocal chamber ensembles.
This all-day festival presents opportunities for high school vocal ensembles from throughout Nebraska to work in the beautiful spaces and acoustics of the Sheldon Museum of Art Great Hall and Kimball Recital Hall.
The students in the festival will both learn music and experience the art and sounds of the Great Hall. The combination of artistic and musical themes offer the singers an opportunity to gain a deeper appreciation of their work. Sheldon student docents will present Museum artworks to the singers through the course of the afternoon.
Workshops will be held from 1-5 p.m. in the Great Hall. The festival will culminate in concerts of all ensembles and the University Chamber Singers at 7 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall.
