"The Figure" Class Observation
Weekdays, May 21 through June 7, 2013 -- 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM

Join UNL Professor of Sculpture, Santiago Cal, and his class as they use the space of Sheldon as a classroom to explore the figure. Morning sessions at Sheldon will be spent studying figurative works from the museum's collection and creating Sculpture for the Touch (works by students).

Temporal Sculpture
May 24 and 25, 2013 -- 7 p.m.

OmniArts nebraska presents Temporal Sculpture, an evening of choreography celebrating the beauty of the human form in motion and the architecture that elegantly houses works of art. $10 admission ($8 for seniors and students).

Museum Tour with Betsey Geffen
May 25, 2013 -- 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM

New York–based performance artist Charley Friedman, a Lincoln native, offers a special guided tour of the Sheldon building as alter ego Betsey Geffen.

Troika Strata: One Play, Three Views

Angels Theatre Company presents Troika Strata: One Play, Three Views in Sheldon's galleries. Prepare for a month of mystery as one story is told three ways in three different spaces on three nights. $10 admission.

Descriptive Poetry Workshop

Led by poets Ben Clark, Stevie Edwards, and Josh Gaines in the museum's galleries. For ages 13 and older.

Young Musicians Lunchtime Concert Series

Bring your lunch to Sheldon and enjoy music from some of Lincoln's talented, young musicians. This week features the Suzuki Strings.

Craft Circle

The Naked Museum Party

Jazz in June
Tuesdays in June -- Market at 5:00 PM and Jazz at 7:00 PM

Jazz in June has become more than just a tradition. It's a summer standard. The free Tuesday evening series is one of Lincoln's summer delights. Enjoy the Jazz in June Market at 12th & R Streets, then stroll onto the University of Nebraska–Lincoln campus to listen to great jazz. This season features the Kendra Shank Quartet, Valerie Capers featuring Victor Lewis, Angela Hagenbach, and Jackie Allen.

Kinection: Connecting Modern Art with Modern Technology
June 4 through June 26, 2013 -- various dates and times

Interact with a wall-sized electronic canvas, leaving your own mark, temporarily, on the walls of Sheldon's galleries. Project designed by UNL Assistant Professor Anita Sarma and students in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

Celebrate the opening of The Marketplace of Community Values, twelve gallery installations by community organizations in Lincoln. Learn about their goals, mission, and stories through their collaboration with local artists. We will also recognize Sheldon's community partners.

Help us celebrate Sheldon's 50th Birthday with family-friendly activities, including button-making with the LUX Center for the Arts, a community build of Keva blocks with the Lincoln Children's Museum, movement and dance exercises with UNL dancers, yoga for kids, and ice cream from the UNL Dairy Store.
