The Sheldon has one of the most important collections of American art in the United States. Our permanent collection has more than 12,000 objects and includes works by such artists as Mary Cassatt, Edward Hopper, Georgia O'Keeffe, Jackson Pollock, and Andy Warhol. We're working to make a digital image of every object collection accessible to you.

In January 2015, with a grant from the Henry Luce Foundation to photograph 5,000 works on paper and funding from the Cooper Foundation for database technology, we launched a major initiative to digitize our entire collection.

We look forward to sharing the museum's extensive holdings online and continue to add works to the database. As of March 2015, 985 objects are accessible at UNL Image & Multimedia Collections.
